Weekly Bowls Notice 8 May, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 9 bowlers. No winners today, just a friendly game of bowls.  Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results for games played over the weekend. Open Singles, Elsie Clarke defeated Torsten Vestergaard 25-6.

 The following games have been set down for Saturday 13 May commencing at 10.00am.

Open Singles – Mal Potts plays Dale Smith, marker Brad Dade. Andrew Carey plays Michael Coombes, marker Elsie Clarke. Graham Bourke plays Todd Fuller, marker Steve Fuller. Chris Moy plays Rosie Fuller, marker Malcolm Turner.

Minor Singles – Paul Wadleigh plays Jan Swanson, marker Torsten Vestergaard. Zone State Singles were played here over the weekend, congratulations to Lindsay McIntyre defeating Todd Fuller 25-23 in a very close game, both players bowled very well.

 Lindsay McIntyre and Steve Fuller are now off to South Tamworth Bowling Club to play in the finals on 20-21 May.

Congratulations to the Ex-Services team of Leverne Apthorpe, Pam McFayden and Vicki Latham on winning the Preliminary Round of the BPL Cup. They now progress to a Regional Final at a later date at a venue to be advised.

 A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Mal Potts on the day of play.
