Weekly Bowls Notice 24 April, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 17 bowlers. Winners were Elfie Brunner, Stuart Cooper, Joe Lankester.

Runners up were Fred Swanson and John Lankester. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Congratulations to the following players on winning their 1st round of the Club Championships. Minor Singles, Brad White defeated Elsie Clarke 31-28, Victor Ng defeated Brian Charter 31-21, Chris Moy defeated Claude McFayden 31-27.

Open Singles, Mal Potts defeated Brad Dade 26-22, Steve Fuller defeated Malcolm Turner 25-14. Minor Pairs, Jan Swanson, Fred Swanson defeated Bruce Wadleigh, Terry Ogilvie 22-20.

The following game has been set down for Saturday 6 May commencing at 10.00am. Open Singles – Torsten Vestergaard plays Elsie Clarke, marker Brian Charter. Best of luck to the following players representing the Armidale City Bowling Club in the Zone 3 State Singles, Todd Fuller and Lindsay McIntyre and in the Zone 3 State Open Reserve Singles, Rosie Fuller.

 A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Mal Potts on the day of play. The Armidale City Bowling Club will be hosting a BPL Cup Preliminary round on Sunday 7 May, 9.30am start. 2 sets of 5 ends, 1 end tie-breaker if required, teams of 3 or 4 players, playing 2-bowl triples.
