Weekly Bowls Notice 6 November, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 14 bowlers. Winners were Michelle Babich, Mal Turner. Runners up were Ken House, Des Schuman.  Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Games set down for this weekend. Sunday 12 November, 10am start. Open Singles. Michael Coombes plays Lindsay McIntyre, marker Brad Dade. Mixed Pairs. Margaret Macgregor, Graham Bourke play Brian Charter, Betty Charter.

Congratulations to Rosie Fuller, Todd Fuller on winning the Bowls NSW State Mixed Pairs Qualifier at South Tamworth Bowling Club over the weekend.

Rosie and Todd are now off to the State Championships to be held at Dubbo in March next year.

Another fantastic turnout for Twilight Bowls, we had 20 players. Winners were Aiden Lankester, Terry Ogilvie. Runners up were Bruce Wadleigh, Fred Swanson. Winners of the baseball caps were Richard Kembrey and Kyle Brodbeck. A copy of the placings will be posted on the noticeboard.

Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes. From now until Thursday 14th December, winner(s) will receive 3pts, Runner(s)-up receive 2pts and 1pt for participation. On the last night of Twilight Bowls, winner and runner up with the most points will receive a Ham each. A random participation prize will also be drawn from non-winners on the night.

 Don’t forget to put your entries in for the Major Minor Open Triples Carnival to be held on Sunday 26 November, closing date for nominations is 19 November.  Nominations for the Club’s Open Mixed Fours are now on the noticeboard. Entries close 21st January, 2024.

A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
