Weekly Bowls Notice 13 November, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 13 bowlers. Winners were John Waters, Ben Atherton, Joe Lankester. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Stuart Cooper, Campbell Schubert.  Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Games set down for this weekend. Sunday 19 November, 10am start. Major Pairs. Laurie Williams, Richard Kembrey play Peter Doyle, Steve Fuller. Major Singles. Dale Smith plays Gavin Latham, marker Paul Bullen. Major Singles. Todd Fuller plays Brodie Dexter, marker Ian Jones. Minor Triples. Kevin Luxford, Bruce Wadleigh, Michael Coombes play Helen Alexander, Rosie Fuller, Marj South.

Unfortunately Twilight Bowls was called off last week due to the weather. Those bowlers who turned up will still receive 1 point. Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes each week. Winner(s) will receive 3pts, Runner(s)-up receive 2pts and 1pt for participation. On the last night of Twilight Bowls, winner and runner up with the most points will receive a Ham each.

A random participation prize will also be drawn from non-winners on the night. Don’t forget to put your entries in for the Major Minor Open Triples Carnival to be held on Sunday 26 November, closing date for nominations is 19 November. 

Nominations for the Club’s Open Mixed Fours are now on the noticeboard. Entries close 21st January, 2024. A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
