Weekly Bowls Notice 30 October, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 17 bowlers. Winners were Michelle Babich, Mal Turner. Runners up were Paul Clarke, John Waters.  Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend. Major Triples.  Paul Bullen, Scott Froome, Graham Bourke defeated Rosie Fuller (sub), Richard Kembrey, Brodie Dexter 26-14. Open Singles. Gavin Latham defeated Steve Fuller 25-21.

Major Singles. Tom Inman defeated Laurie Williams 24-8 declared. No games have been set down this coming weekend.

Good luck to Rosie Fuller, Todd Fuller and Sammy Robinson, Steve Fuller who will be bowling in the Bowls NSW State Mixed Pairs Qualifying at South Tamworth Bowling Club over the weekend. On a cold wintery evening we had 12 players turn up for twilight bowls.

Winners were Rosie Fuller, Bruce Wadleigh. Runners up were Torsten Vestergaard, Richard Kembrey.

Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes.

From now until Thursday 14th December, winner(s) will receive 3pts, Runner(s)-up receive 2pts and 1pt for participation. On the last night of Twilight Bowls, winner and runner up with the most points will receive a Ham each. A random participation prize will also be drawn from non-winners on the night.

Entry forms are now available for the Major Minor Open Triples Carnival to be held on Sunday 26 November. Nominations for the Club’s Open Mixed Fours are now on the noticeboard. Entries close 21st January, 2024. A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
