Weekly Bowls Notice 6 July – 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 1 July we had 12 players. Winners were Reg Battersby, Di Richter, Geoff Monley. Runners up were Campbell Schubert, Ken House, Victor Ng. Social bowls played on Monday 6 July we had 8 mad bowlers turn up on a very cold blistery day. Winners were Ken House, Di Richter. Runners up were Judy Hoenger, John Waters. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Results from games played over the weekend:

Major-Minor Boxed Fours.   Bruce Wadleigh, Paul Clarke, Terry Ogilvie (sub), Laurie Judd defeated Helen Alexander, Paul Wadleigh, Di Richter, Terry McMillan 21-19. 

Major Triples. Clifford Smith, Brad Dade, Matt Fletcher defeated Andrew Carey, Graham Bourke, Mick Pennell 23-18.

No games have been scheduled for this coming weekend.

Paul Clarke and Des Schuman are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.  

Bowls NSW has released the season calendar from July 2026 – December 2026 whilst we transition back to a normal bowls calendar year. This calendar is posted on the noticeboard.

Upcoming carnivals: Versatility Fours on 12 and 13 September, 2026. Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs on 7 and 8 November, 2026. Nominations are available at Reception or can be downloaded from the ACBC website.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

BOWLS FEES FOR THE 2026/2027 FINANCIAL YEAR WILL COST $50 AND ARE NOW DUE. FEES TO BE PAID NO LATER THAN 31 JULY 2026.

Di Richter has for sale some small jars of Grip and Polish for all sports.
