Weekly Bowls Notice 29 June – 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 24 June we had 11 players. Winners were Victor Ng, John Lankester, Joe Lankester. Runners up were Laurie Judd, Geoff Monley, Campbell Schubert. Social bowls played on Monday 29 June we had 12 players. Winners were Ken House, John Waters. Runners up were John Lankester, Di Richter. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Results from games played over the weekend:

Minor Singles Final Congratulations to John Waters on winning the Minor Singles Final defeating Col Holden 25-12. It was great to see 2 ex Servies members compete in this final. 

Major Fours. Di Richter, John Waters, Victor Ng, Laurie Judd defeated Maddy Woodward, Clifford Smith, Brad Dade, Matt Fletcher 20-12.

Open Singles. We have had some fantastic games played over the weekend. Paul Wadleigh and Tom Inman neck and neck most of the game, with Paul just winning 25-24. Another great game was had by Paul Bullen and Brad Dade with Paul winning 25-18. On Sunday, Steve Fuller was too strong for Paul Wadleigh, with Steve winning 25-9. The Open Singles final will be played between Paul Bullen and Steve Fuller

Major Triples. Clifford Smith, Brad Dade, Matt Fletcher play Andrew Carey, Graham Bourke, Mick Pennell.

Elsie Clark and Laurie Williams are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle. 

Bowls NSW has released the season calendar from July 2026 – December 2026 whilst we transition back to a normal bowls calendar year. This calendar is posted on the noticeboard.

Upcoming carnivals: Versatility Fours on 12 and 13 September, 2026. Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs on 7 and 8 November, 2026. Nominations are available at Reception or can be downloaded from the ACBC website.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

BOWLS FEES FOR THE 2026/2027 FINANCIAL YEAR WILL COST $50 AND ARE NOW DUE. FEES TO BE PAID NO LATER THAN 31 JULY 2026.

Di Richter has for sale some small jars of Grip and Polish for all sports.
