Weekly Bowls Notice 6 December 2023

On a very warm Monday afternoon we had 8 players at Social Bowls today. Winners were Des Schuman and Michelle Babich. Runners up were Brad White and Judy Hoenger.  Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Games set down for this weekend. Saturday 9 December, 10am start. Minor Singles. Andrew Carey plays Scott Froome, marker Chris Moy. Sunday 10 December, 10am start. Major Singles. Todd Fuller plays Brodie Dexter, marker Mark Carey.

Games set down for the following weekend. Saturday 16 December, 10am start. Major Singles. Paul Bullen plays Gavin Latham, marker Brodie Dexter. Mixed Pairs. Jan Swanson, Fred Swanson play Margaret Hann, Lindsay McIntyre.

Sunday 17 December, 10am start. Open Singles. Laurie Williams plays Lindsay McIntyre, marker Graham Bourke.

On Thursday night, we had 10 bowlers turn up for Twilight Bowls. Winners were Di Richter and Campbell Schubert. Runners up were Torsten Vestergaard, Michelle Babich and Paul Wadleigh. Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes each week. Winner(s) will receive 3pts, Runner(s)-up receive 2pts and 1pt for participation. On the last night of Twilight Bowls, winner and runner up with the most points will receive a Ham each. A random participation prize will also be drawn from non-winners on the night.

 Nominations for the Club’s Open Mixed Fours are now on the noticeboard. Entries close 21st January, 2024. A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play. A copy of the 2023-2024 Conditions of Play for Open State Pennants is now on display in our Bowls Cupboard.
