Weekly Bowls Notice 11 December 2023

Due to low numbers, social bowls was cancelled.  Monday 18 December will be the last day of Social Bowls for the year.  

Monday 15 January, 2024 Social Bowls will start again. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend. Minor Singles. Andrew Carey defeated Scott Froome 31-16. Major Singles. Todd Fuller defeated Brody Dexter 25-13.

Games set down for this weekend. Saturday 16 December, 10am start. Major Singles. Paul Bullen plays Gavin Latham, marker Brody Dexter. Saturday 16 December. 8.30am start. Minor Triples. Fred Swanson, Torsten Vestergaard, Ronnie Sullivan play Helen Alexander, Rosie Fuller, Marj South. Saturday 16 December. 9.00am start. Open Singles. Laurie Williams plays Lindsay McIntyre, marker Graham Bourke. On Thursday night, we had 16 bowlers turn up for Twilight Bowls. Winners were Campbell Schubert and Paul Wadleigh. Runners up were Ian Constantine and Bruce Wadleigh.

Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes each week. Winner(s) will receive 3pts, Runner(s)-up receive 2pts and 1pt for participation. This week is the last night of Twilight Bowls. Winner and runner up with the most points will receive a Ham each. A random participation prize will also be drawn from non-winners on the night.

Nominations for the Club’s Open Mixed Fours are now on the noticeboard. Entries close 21st January, 2024. A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play. A copy of the 2023-2024 Conditions of Play for Open State Pennants is now on display in our Bowls Cupboard.s
