Weekly Bowls Notice 3 August 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 29 July we had 15 players. Winners were John Lankester, Carol Farr-Wharton, Gavin Latham. Runners up were Reg Battersby, Geoff Monley, Victor Ng. Social bowls played on Monday 3 August we had 12 players. Winners were Joe Lankester, Di Richter, John Lankester. Runners up were Geoff Monley, Gavin Latham, Victor Ng. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Results from games played over the weekend

Open Singles Final. Congratulations to Paul Bullen defeating Steve Fuller 26-17.

Minor Triples Final. Congratulations to Helen Alexander, Rosie Fuller, Marj South defeating Col Holden, Bruce Wadleigh, Chris Moy 33-27.

Minor Pairs. Des Schuman, John Waters were too strong for Jason Prince, Adrian Whitton defeating them 28-8.

Major-Minor Boxed Pairs Semi Final. Adrian Whitton, Steve Fuller play Sammi Robinson, Tom Inman.

Sunday 9 August – 9.30am start

Minor Pairs Semi Final. Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy play Des Schuman, John Waters.

Sunday 9 August – 10.00am start

Grade 2 Pennant Trial against Guyra. Mufti Dress. Sausage sizzle afterwards.

Gavin Latham and Lindsay McIntyre are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Bowls NSW has released the season calendar from July 2026 – December 2026 whilst we transition back to a normal bowls calendar year. This calendar is posted on the noticeboard.

Upcoming carnivals: Versatility Fours on 12 and 13 September, 2026. Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs on 7 and 8 November, 2026. Nominations are available at Reception or can be downloaded from the ACBC website.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.
