Weekly Bowls Notice 10 August 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 5 August we had 16 players. Winners were Torsten Vestergaard, John Lankester, John Waters. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Carol Farr-Wharton, Di Richter. No Social bowls played on Monday 10 August due to the weather conditions. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Results from games played over the weekend

Major-Minor Boxed Pairs. Sammii Robinson, Tom Inman defeated Adrian Whitton, Steve Fuller 17-14. 

Minor Pairs Semi Final. Des Schuman, John Waters defeated Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy 18-16. Des and John just got there on the last end to win the match.

Saturday 15 August – 10.00am start

Major Triples. Paul Wadleigh, Peter Doyle, Gavin Latham play TBD, Lee Robinson, Sammii Robinson. Minor Pairs Final. Des Schuman, John Waters play Bruce Wadleigh, Ken House.

Sunday 16 August – 10.00am start

Major Fours. Paul Wadleigh, Dale Smith, Lindsay McIntyre, Peter Doyle play Peter Ahoy, Richard Kembrey, Chris Moy, Chris Brodbeck. Major-Minor Boxed Fours. Col Holden, Des Schuman, Duncan McLean, Steve Fuller play Bruce Wadleigh, Cahill McIntyre, Paul Clarke, Laurie Judd.

Mark Carey and Graham Bourke are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle..

Versatility Fours on 12 and 13 September, 2026. Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs on 7 and 8 November, 2026. Nominations are available at Reception or can be downloaded from the ACBC website.

Nominations are now up on the Noticeboard for the 2026 Major Singles. Nominations close 16 August, please read note regarding these matches.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
