Weekly Bowls Notice 30 September, 2024
Social Bowls on Wednesday we had 14 bowlers. Winners were Brad White, Geoff Monley. Runners up were Pam McFayden, Marj South. Social Bowls played today we had 12 bowlers. Winners were Lucia Harrison (visiting from Tasmania), Paul Clarke. Runners up were Judy Hoenger, Victor Ng. No Social Bowls next Monday due to the long weekend. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Congratulations to the Major Triples Winners, Paul Wadleigh (sub), Tom Inman, Steve Fuller defeating Kyle Brodbeck, Terry McMillan, Gavin Latham 23 – 4 declared on 19th end. What a great start to the 2024-2025 Bowls Season. Minor Singles. Sammi Robinson defeated Helen Alexander 31-25. Reg Battersby defeated Torsten Vestergaard 31-11. Andrew Carey defeated Brad White 31-19. Des Schuman defeated John Waters 31-22. Col Holden defeated Elsie Clarke 31-8. Major Singles. Matt Fletcher defeated Garry Davis 25-8. Mick Pennell defeated Mal Turner 25-22. Mark Carey defeated Pam McFayden 25-11. Lindsay McIntyre defeated Dale Smith 25-14. Vicky Latham defeated Shane Bowden 25-16. All Bowls draws for the 2024-2025 season are now posted up on the Noticeboard and beside the Noticeboard. Draws are available in Bowlslink. The long weekend is coming up this weekend which usually means no bowls. If you are not going away and would like to play a club game, please see the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller as soon as possible.
Nominations for the upcoming Open Pennant season are on the noticeboard. Place your name on the sheet if you are interested in playing. Entries are now open for the State Championship Singles for all five disciplines. State Men’s Singles, State Women’s Singles, Senior Men’s Singles, Senior Women’s Singles, Open Reserve Singles. Members have a selection of 4 locations to qualify. Winners of each Section progress to the Finals on 2 February 2025 at Armidale City Bowling Club. Entries must be placed into Bowlslink with payment to secure entry. Entries close 21 October 2024. If you would like to enter this competition and can’t access Bowlslink, please see the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller for assistance. Entry forms for the Richie Clutterbuck Memorial Open Pairs Carnival to be held 12 and 13 October, are now available. Entries close 6 October and is limited to the first 32 entries. Entry forms for this carnival is on the noticeboard inside the Bowls cupboard or at reception.
