Weekly Bowls Notice 23 September, 2024

Social Bowls on Wednesday we had 16 bowlers. Winners were John Waters, Reg Battersby, Claude McFayden. Runners up were Geoff Monley, Joe Lankester, Brad White. Social Bowls played today we had 17 bowlers. Winners were Elfie Brunner and Gayle Walker. Runners up were Alan Walker, Victor Ng. Gayle and Alan Walker were visiting from Dora Creek. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

The Club hosted the Grade 4 Men’s Pennants over the weekend, congratulations to Uralla who now progress to the Regional Play offs to be held sometime over the next couple of months. A HUGE thank you to all of those involved over the weekend to make it a great success.  All Bowls draws for the 2024-2025 season are now posted up on the Noticeboard and beside the Noticeboard. Draws are available in Bowlslink. Club games will be starting this weekend, 28 – 29 September. If you have the bye in Round 1 you will be required to mark a game. Elsie Clarke plays Col Holden, marker Lee Robinson. Entry forms for the Richie Clutterbuck Memorial Open Pairs Carnival to be held 12 and 13 October, are now available. Entries close 6 October and is limited to the first 32 entries. Entry forms for this carnival is on the noticeboard inside the Bowls cupboard or at reception.  A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play. There are quite a few bowlers who haven’t paid their money yet, please do so as soon as possible.
