Weekly Bowls Notice 28th July – 2025

Due to the weather, there were no social bowls held on Wednesday of last week. No social bowls today, Monday, due to the weather. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played Sunday 27 July: State Senior Pairs. Congratulations to Peter Doyle, Laurie Judd defeating Graham Bourke, Gavin Latham 18-10. Peter and Laurie now compete in the play offs to be held at Lightning Ridge at the end of August. Minor Pairs Final. Congratulations to Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy defeating Cahill McIntyre, Andrew Carey 24-23. What a fantastic final this was. Major Triples Final.   Terry Ogilvie (sub), Gavin Latham, Kyle Brodbeck defeated Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller 18-8 declared on 19^th end.

Nominations for the 2025/2026 Club Championships will remain open until Wednesday 30 July. Nomination forms are posted on the temporary wall near the bar.

Bowls Fees are now due and must be paid by 31 July, 2025. You must be financial to enter North West Championships / State Championships.

Bowls Presentation Day – has been postponed. New date to be advised.

Adrian Whitton and Benny Wilson are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Armidale City will be hosting the North West Championships in Women’s Senior Pairs on 2 August. Best of luck to the following players representing our Club. Rosie Fuller, Marj South. 

Best of luck to Lee Robinson and Matt Fletcher who are bowling in the State over 40’s pairs this weekend at South Tamworth Bowling Club.

North West Bowls will be having their AGM on Saturday 9 August commencing at 10am at Barraba Bowling Club.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
