Weekly Bowls Notice 26 January – 2026

Social bowls Monday 5 January we had 14 players. Winners were Campbell Schubert, Geoff Monley, Gavin Latham. Runners up were Di Richter, Mal Turner. Social Bowls Wednesday 7 January we had 11 players. Winners were Gavin Latham, John Waters, Joe Lankester. Runners up were Ken House, Mick Pennell. Social Bowls Monday 12 January we had 17 players. Winners were Carol Farr-Wharton, Des Schuman. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Paul Clarke, Di Richter. Social Bowls Wednesday 14 January we had 12 players. Winners were Ken House, John Waters, Paul Clarke. Runners up were Gary Jackson, Des Schuman, Mal Turner. Social bowls Monday 19 January we had 12 players. Winners were John Waters, Laurie Judd. Runners up were Marj South, Campbell Schubert. Social bowls Wednesday 21 January we had 13 players. Winners were Campbell Schubert, Des Schuman. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Paul Clarke, Geoff Monley. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played on 10 January - Major Singles. Thomas Inman defeated Richard Kembrey 25-6. Results from games played on 11 January – Major Singles.  Gavin Latham defeated Dale Smith 25-23. Results from games played on 17 January – Minor Singles. After 10 ends Brian Charter forfeited the game to Col Holden. Major/Minor Boxed Pairs. Lee Robinson, Todd Fuller defeated Di Richter, Victor Ng 21-19. Major Singles. Steve Fuller defeated Tom Inman 25-20. Results from games played on 22 January – Major Singles Semi Final. Todd Fuller defeated Gavin Latham 25-11.

Terry Ogilvie and Rosie Fuller are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle. A new roster for 2026 is posted on the noticeboard. Please make sure you view this roster to see when you have been rostered on.

Open Pennant draws are now available in Bowlslink.

Round 1 starts Saturday 14 February, 2026.

Grade 1/2 plays Inverell RSM at ACBC commencing at 1pm.

Grade 5 plays Glen Innes at ACBC commencing at 1pm.

Grade 7 has the bye for round 1. Round 2 Grade 7 plays Bendemeer commencing at 1pm at ACBC.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Open Pennants Trial Match:

Grade 5 plays against Grade 7 on Sunday 1st February 2026 commencing at 10am, mufti dress. If you are going to be unavailable for this trial, please contact one of the selectors. Numbers are on the noticeboard.
