Weekly Bowls Notice 22 December – 2025

Social bowls Wednesday 17 December we had 19 players. Winners were Reg Battersby, Ken House, Gary Jackson. Runners up were Geoff Monley, Helen Alexander, Judy Hoenger. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

First day of Social Bowls will be held on Monday 5 January 2026.

Results from games played over the weekend: Major Singles. Todd Fuller defeated Paul Wadleigh 25-14. Tom Inman defeated Peter Ahoy 25-11. Steve Fuller defeated Graham Bourke 25-7. Open Singles. Rosie Fuller defeated Graeme Heffernan 25-5. Minor Pairs.  Bruce Wadleigh, Ken House took a forfeit from Lee Robinson, Sammi Robinson. Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy defeated Claude McFayden, Ross Strahle 24-17.

Club Championship games resume on Saturday 17 January, 2026. Major Singles to be played earlier.

Reg Battersby and Ken House are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle. A new roster for 2026 is posted on the noticeboard.

Paul Clarke and Des Schuman are rostered on for Friday 16 January, 2026.

Champion of Champion Singles entries close 11 February. Major bowlers who are not going to be around in January, you need to let the Games Manager know as soon as possible. Major Singles need to be finalised by 8th February, 2026.

Open Pennant draws are now available in Bowlslink.

Round 1 starts Saturday 14 February, 2026.

Grade 1/2 plays Inverell RSM at ACBC commencing at 1pm.

Grade 5 plays Glen Innes at ACBC commencing at 1pm.

Grade 7 has the bye for round 1. Round 2 Grade 7 plays Bendemeer commencing at 1pm at ACBC.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Open Pennants Trial Match:

Grade 5 plays against Grade 7 on Sunday 1st February 2026 commencing at 10am, mufti dress. If you are going to be unavailable for this trial, please contact one of the selectors. Numbers are on the noticeboard.
