Weekly Bowls Notice 15 December – 2025

Social bowls Wednesday 10 December we had 13 players. Winners were Laurie Judd, Reg Battersby, Joe Lankester. Runners up were Campbell Schubert, John Lankester. Social bowls Monday 15 December we had 14 players. Winners were Joe Lankester, Di Richter, Paul Clarke. Runners up were Dean Lankester, Gary Jackson. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Last day of Social Bowls is on Wednesday 17 December with refreshments. First day of Social Bowls will be held on Monday 5 January 2026.

Results from games played over the weekend: Major Singles.  Steve Fuller defeated Brad Dade 25-20. Dale Smith defeated Laurie Judd 25-15.  Open Singles. Mick Pennell defeated Cahill McIntyre 25-9. Victor Ng defeated Laurie Williams 21-14 (declared). Major Pairs.  Andrew Carey, Mal Ahoy defeated Sammi Robinson (sub), Peter Robinson 22-16. Minor Singles. John Waters defeated Adrian Whitton 25-18.

Congratulations  to the following bowlers who have been selected in the North-West Inter Region side to represent North-West at the 2026 Inter-Region Championships to be held at Yamba in early February. Open Men’s – Todd Fuller. Senior Men’s – Peter Doyle, Steve Fuller and Gavin Latham.

Sunday 21 December – 9.30am start
Major Singles. Graham Bourke plays Steve Fuller, marker Mick Pennell. Todd Fuller plays Paul Wadleigh, marker Peter Doyle. Minor Pairs.  Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy play Claude McFayden, Ross Strahle. Lee Robinson, Sammi Robinson play Bruce Wadleigh, Ken House. 

Pam and Claude McFayden are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.


Champion of Champion Singles entries close 11 February.  Major bowlers who are not going to be around in January, you need to let the Games Manager know as soon as possible. Major Singles need to be finalised by 8th February, 2026.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.  All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Open Pennants Trial Match:
Grade 5 plays against Grade 7 on Sunday 1st February 2026 commencing at 10am, mufti dress. If you are going to be unavailable for this trial, please contact one of the selectors. Numbers are on the noticeboard.

Club Championship games resume on Saturday 17 January, 2026.
