Weekly Bowls Notice 8 December – 2025

Social bowls Wednesday 3 December we had 18 players; 2 visitors were from Lemon Tree Passage. Winners were Claude McFayden, Campbell Schubert, Victor Ng. Runners up were Di Richter, Mal Turner, Reg Battersby. Social bowls Monday 8 December we had 15 players. Winners were Joe Lankester, Carol Farr-Wharton. Runners up, Paul Clarke x 2. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Last day of Social Bowls is on Wednesday 17 December with refreshments. First day of Social Bowls will be held on Monday 4 January 2026.

Results from games played over the weekend: Minor Pairs. Bruce Wadleigh, Ken House defeated Michael Coombes, Victor Ng 17-15. Open Singles. Lauri Judd defeated Sammi Robinson 25-9.  A couple of very close games were played, Claude McFayden defeated John Waters 25-24. Paul Wadleigh defeated Duncan McLean 25-24. 

Congratulations to the following bowlers who have been selected in the North-West Inter Region side to represent North-West at the 2026 Inter-Region Championships to be held at Yamba in early February. Open Men’s – Todd Fuller. Senior Men’s – Peter Doyle, Steve Fuller and Gavin Latham.

Sunday 14 December – 9.30am start

Mixed Pairs. Marj South, Steve Fuller play Maddy Woodward, Paul Bullen. Open Singles. Mick Pennell plays Cahill McIntyre, marker Matt Fletcher. Laurie Williams plays Victor Ng, marker Peter McFarland.

Terry McMillan and Paul Bullen are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Champion of Champion Singles entries close 11 February. Major bowlers who are not going to be around in January, you need to let the Games Manager know as soon as possible. Major Singles need to be finalised by 8th February, 2026.



A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.  All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
