Weekly Bowls Notice 23 June– 2025

Social Bowls on Wednesday 18 June, we had 16 players. Winners were John Waters, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were Marj South, Ken House. Monday social bowls we had 15 players. Winners were Laurie Judd, Mal Turner. Runners up were Claude McFayden, Elfie Brunner. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend: Minor Singles. Paul Wadleigh defeated Rosie Fuller 31-20. Mixed Pairs. Paul Bullen, Maddy Woodward defeated Di Richter, Peter Ahoy 23-18. Congratulations to the Minor Triples Final winners, Des Schuman, Reg Battersby, Gary Jackson defeated Col Holden, John Waters, Adrian Whitton 23-14. Major Triples. Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller defeated Scott Froome, Mick Pennell, Graham Bourke 28-8. Minor Fours. Claude McFayden, Gary Jackson, Michael Coombes, Victor Ng defeated Col Holden, Ross Strahle, John Waters, Adrian Whitton 20-16. Open Singles. Todd Fuller defeated Duncan McLean 25-2.

Nominations are now open for the 2025/2026 Club Championships, please see the Games Manager to nominate. Nominations close 30 June 2025. 

Bowls Fees are now due and must be paid by 31 July, 2025. You must be financial to enter North West Championships / State Championships.

Nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 Bowls NSW Championships for Men’s Senior Pairs, Women’s Senior Pairs, Men’s State Pairs, Women’s State Pairs, Open Reserve Pairs – entries close 30 June on Bowlslink. 

Bowls Presentation Day – Sunday 13 July commencing at 1pm in the Auditorium.

Bruce Wadleigh and John Waters are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Armidale City will be hosting the North West Championships on 12 and 13 July in Men’s Senior Singles and Women’s Senior Singles. I will be needing markers and umpires for these games. Come and see Rosie Fuller if you can help out.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
