Weekly Bowls Notice 16 June – 2025

Social Bowls on Wednesday 11 June, we had 11 players. Winners were John Waters, Victor Ng, Alan Lang. Runners up were Nick McMurray, Des Schuman, Elfie Brunner. Monday social bowls we had 18 players. Winners were Matt Fletcher, Claude McFayden, Marj South. Runners up were Ken House, Victor Ng. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

The Open Major-Minor Triples carnival held on Saturday was a great success and congratulations to the following winners:

1^st Place – S Lees, R Maxwell, G Hemmings – Nth Tamworth/Kootingal

2^nd Place – R Fuller, S Fuller, T Fuller – Armidale City

3^rd Place – C Peardon, R Moore, D Kennedy – Guyra

4^th Place – A Carey, S Bowden, B Dade – Armidale City

5^th Place – K Walters, C Shanahan, D Kliendienst - Uralla

6^th Place – A Whitton, M Pennell, P Doyle - Armidale City

Round winners were Gavin Latham’s team, Mal Turner’s team and Graham Bourke’s team.

Nominations are now open for the 2025/2026 Club Championships, please see the Games Manager to nominate. Nominations close 30 June 2025. 

Nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 Bowls NSW Championships for Men’s Senior Singles, Women’s Senior Singles, Men’s State Singles, Women’s State Singles, Open Reserve Singles – entries close 23 June on Bowlslink. Men’s Senior Pairs, Women’s Senior Pairs, Men’s State Pairs, Women’s State Pairs, Open Reserve Pairs – entries close 30 June on Bowlslink. 

Bowls Presentation Day – Sunday 13 July commencing at 1pm in the Auditorium.

Michael Coombes and Laurie Judd are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Armidale City will be hosting the North West Championships on 12 and 13 July in Men’s Senior Singles and Women’s Senior Singles. I will be needing markers and umpires for these games. Come and see Rosie Fuller if you can help out.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
