Weekly Bowls Notice 30 June– 2025

Social Bowls on Wednesday 25 June, we had 6 players. Winners were John Waters, Des Schuman, Reg Battersby. Monday Social Bowls was called off due to the wet weather. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend: Minor Singles Semi Final.  Col Holden defeated Scott Froome 31-10. Minor Singles Final. Congratulations to Paul Wadleigh, Minor Singles Champion defeating Col Holden in the final 31-21.  Open Singles. Gavin Latham defeated Tom Inman 25-14. Steve Fuller defeated Sammi Robinson 25-5. Minor Pairs Semi Final. Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy defeated Michael Coombes, Paul Wadleigh 27-18. Major Triples. Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller defeated Brad Dade, Shane Bowden, Matt Fletcher 27-8.

Nominations are now open for the 2025/2026 Club Championships, please see the Games Manager to nominate. Nominations have been extended to Sunday 6 July. If you haven’t nominated by then, you will miss out.

Bowls Fees are now due and must be paid by 31 July, 2025. You must be financial to enter North West Championships / State Championships.

Bowls Presentation Day – has been postponed. New date to be advised.

Helen Alexander and John Waters are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Armidale City will be hosting the North West Championships on 12 and 13 July in Men’s Senior Singles and Women’s Senior Singles. Men’s Senior Pairs and Women’s Senior Pairs on 26 and 27 July. I will be needing markers and umpires for these games. Come and see Rosie Fuller if you can help out. Thank you to those who have volunteered already.

North West Bowls will be having their AGM on Saturday 9 August commencing at 10am at Barraba Bowling Club.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
