Weekly Bowls Notice 21 September 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 16 September we had 10 players. Winners were Reg Battersby, Di Richter. Runners up were Des Schuman, Victor Ng, Paul Clarke. Social bowls played on Monday 21 September we had 12 players. Winners were Ken House, Gavin Latham. Runners up were John Lankester, Marj South. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

REsults from games played on 19 September

Major-Minor Boxed Pairs Final: Congratulations to Sammii Robinson, Tom Inman in defeating Lee Robinson, Todd Fuller 11-10. What a fantastic game this final was to watch. Both teams neck and neck throughout the game. 10 all with the last end to be played. Tom’s team scoring the shot to win by 1.

Major Singles: Duncan McLean defeated John Waters 25-14. Steve Fuller defeated Paul Wadleigh 25-20. Rosie Fuller defeated Paul Clarke 25-24.

No games have been scheduled for this coming weekend.

The Armidale City Bowling Club will be hosting the Bowls NSW State Rookie Pairs - North-West Region Qualifiers this weekend. Teams from Gunnedah, Glen Innes, Tamworth City and West Tamworth will be competing over the weekend.

Tom Inman and Rosie Fuller are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs on 7 and 8 November, 2026. Nominations are available at Reception or can be downloaded from the ACBC website. 

North-West Bowls has invited our club to participate in the North-West Premier League competition. Nominations close on Friday 25 September.

Terry Ogilvie has been voted in as our President. Andrew Carey voted in as Vice-President. Lindsay McIntyre voted in on the Board of Directors. Congratulations to you all. 

Nominations are now open for the Inter-Region Championships. Open Men and Senior Men will be played in Moree on Saturday 17 October at 9.30am. Women’s will be played in Moree on Sunday 18 October at 9.30am.

• Senior Men 1 – 3 February 2027 at Soldiers Point
• Open Men 5 – 7 February 2027 at East Maitland & Beresfield
• Women 5 – 7 February 2027 at Raymond Terrace & Beresfield

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.
