Weekly Bowls Notice 21 August, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 16 players. Winners were Joe Lankester, Victor Ng and John Waters.

Runners up were Joe Lankester, Paul Clarke and Des Schuman.

Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results of games played over the weekend. Minor Singles. Scott Froome defeated Fred Swanson 32-12. Mal Potts defeated Torsten Vestergaard 31-11. Major Singles. Lindsay McIntyre defeated Graham Bourke 25-17. Major Pairs. Kyle Brodbeck, Terry McMillan defeated Ian Jones, Brad Dade 24-15.

Games set down for Sunday 27th August, 10.00am start. Major Singles. Paul Bullen plays Richard Kembrey, marker Graham Bourke.

Pennants 2023 is being played in November, if you are interested in playing pennants, please put your name down on the list which is located on the Notice Board. Closing date is Monday 28th August.

Nominations are now open for the Zone 3 State Championships in Mens State Singles, Mens Senior Singles and Open Reserve Singles. Entries close on 28th August in Bowlslink.

All Bowls Fees must have been paid by now, if not, you are not allowed to bowl in any club games, Zone or State games. A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Acting Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
