Weekly Bowls Notice 20 October – 2025

Social bowls Wednesday 15 October, we had 12 players. Winners were Di Richter, Judy Hoenger, John Lankester. Runners up were Des Schuman, Joe Lankester, Elfie Brunner. Monday 20 October social bowls, we had 12 players. Winners were Marie Knight, Des Schuman. Runners up were Di Richter, John Waters. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend: Open Singles. Cahill McIntyre defeated Bruce Wadleigh 25-2. Minor Singles. Ken House defeated Torsten Vestergaard 25-18. Chris Moy defeated Peter Robinson 25-13. Major-Minor Boxed Pairs. Lee Robinson, Todd Fuller defeated Col Holden, Clifford Smith 21-8.

Expressions of Interest are now open for the North West Inter-Region Sides Selection Trials in Open Women’s, Open Men’s & Senior Men’s. Closing date is Monday 3 November 2025. More information is posted next to this notice.

Matt Fletcher and Brad Dade are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

We have some travelling bowlers visiting from East Maitland Bowling Club this coming weekend. They are looking forward to visiting our Club and playing some bowls. Bowls will be Friday afternoon around 1pm and Saturday afternoon around 1pm. Please place your name on the list.

Open Pennants 2025-2026 will start in February 2026 and it will run for 6 weeks up until 28/29 March. If you would like to represent the Armidale City Bowling Club this season, please add your name to the sheet on the Noticeboard. Nominations will close on 10 November.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
