Weekly Bowls Notice 16 October, 2023
Monday Social Bowls we had 12 bowlers, playing in very windy conditions. Winners were Marj South, Helen Alexander, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were Campbell Schubert, John Leah, Des Schuman. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
Results from the Richie Clutterbuck carnival held over the weekend. Congratulations to the following players.

The club held its first game of Twilight bowls on Thursday night, we had 18 bowlers turn up, which is a great start. Winners were Ken House, Paul Wadleigh, Steve Fuller. Runners up were Campbell Schubert, Bruce Wadleigh, Marj South. Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes.
Games set down for this weekend. Saturday 21 October, 10am start. Minor Singles. Malcolm Potts plays Chris Moy, marker Brad White. Minor Singles. Michael Coombes plays Andrew Carey, marker Terry Ogilvie. The following bowlers will be representing Armidale City Bowling Club in the Zone 3 State Fours Championships being held at South Tamworth Bowling Club this weekend. Senior Fours – Graham Bourke, Terry McMillan, Peter Doyle, Gavin Latham. Mens Fours – Paul Bullen, Lindsay McIntyre, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller. Open Reserve Fours – Rosie Fuller, Malcolm Turner, Dale Smith, Brad Dade. Best of luck to all of these bowlers. If you are interested in the Club’s Mixed Pairs, please put your name down on the Nomination Sheet posted on the Noticeboard.
Nominations close Monday 30 October, 2023. Entry forms are now available for the Major Minor Open Triples Carnival to be held on Sunday 26 November. The Armidale City Bowling Club will be hosting “Get on the Green Days”. Sunday 22 October at 10am and Sunday 29 October at 1.30pm. All equipment is provided, $2.50 social membership is required, Flat Sole shoes to be worn. Come on down and try a game of bowls.
