Weekly Bowls Notice 11 August – 2025

Wednesday social bowls we had 16 players. Winners were Marj South, Marie Knight. Runners up were Campbell Schubert, Gary Jackson. Social bowls Monday we had 12 players. Winners were Joe Lankester, Paul Clarke. Runners up were Judy Hoenger, Elfie Brunner. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Open Singles. Dale Smith defeated Todd Fuller 25-19. Open Singles Semi Final. Steve Fuller defeated Dale Smith 25-12. Open Singles Final. Congratulations to Matt Fletcher defeating Steve Fuller 25-13. Minor Fours Semi Final. Di Richter (sub for Terry Ogilvie), Brian Charter, Paul Wadleigh, Andrew Carey defeated Helen Alexander, Torsten Vestergaard (sub for Jason Prince), Marj South, Rosie Fuller 24-13. Minor Fours Final. Congratulations to Claude McFayden, Gary Jackson, Michael Coombes, Victor Ng defeating Di Richter (sub for Terry Ogilvie), Brian Charter, Paul Wadleigh, Andrew Carey 20-18.

Best of luck to Steve and Todd Fuller who are playing in the North West Men’s Pairs Championships this coming weekend in Tamworth.

Entries are now open for Bowls NSW Championships for Men’s State Triples, Women’s State Triples, Men’s Senior Triples, Women’s Senior Triples and Open Reserve Triples. Entries close 8 September on Bowlslink.

Garry Jackson and Campbell Schubert are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
