Weekly Bowls Notice 29 September – 2025


Social bowls Wednesday 24 September, we had 16 players. Winners were Paul Clarke, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were Di Richter, Marie Knight. Monday 29 September social bowls, we had 10 players. Winners were Paul Clarke, Pam McFayden. Runners up were Ken House, Marj South, John Waters. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Major-Minor Boxed Pairs. Di Richter, Victor Ng defeated Torsten Vestergaard, Richard Kembrey 18-16. Open Singles. Graham Bourke defeated Ken House 25-9. Laurie Williams defeated Maddy Woodward 25-21. Chris Moy defeated Paul Clarke 25-23. Minor Singles. Andrew Carey defeated Jason Prince 25-13.


Due to the long weekend, no bowls have been scheduled for this coming weekend.



The annual Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs is coming up on 11 and 12 October. Total Prizemoney is $8000. Entries for the first 32 teams, reserve teams will go on reserve list. A sit-down lunch will be provided on Saturday with a Sausage Sizzle on Sunday.


Expressions of Interest are now open for the North West Inter-Region Sides Selection Trials in Open Women’s, Open Men’s & Senior Men’s. Closing date is Monday 3 November 2025. More information is posted next to this notice.

Rosie Fuller and Terry Ogilvie are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.



We have some travelling bowlers visiting from East Maitland Bowling Club in October from 24 – 26. They are looking forward to visiting our Club and playing some bowls. Bowls will be Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. Please place your name on the list.


Open Pennants 2025-2026 will start in February 2026 and it will run for 6 weeks up until 28/29 March. Please place your name on the list provided if you are interested in playing in the Open Pennant season.

 

 

 

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
