Weekly Bowls Notice 26 May – 2025

Social Bowls on Monday 19 May, we had 11 players. Winners were Peter Love, Geoff Monley. Runners up were Campbell Schubert and Des Schuman. Social Bowls held on Monday 26 May we had 14 players. Winners were Laurie Judd and Geoff Monley. Runners up were John Waters and Marj South. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend. Open Singles. Peter Robinson defeated Richard Kembrey 25-24. This game was close all the way through to the very end. Matt Fletcher defeated Peter Robinson 25-12. Minor Pairs. Rosie Fuller, Chris Moy defeated Des Schuman, John Waters 27-8, declared on 17^th end. Minor Triples. Col Holden, John Waters, Adrian Whitton defeated Brian Charter, Terry Ogilvie, Andrew Carey 17-14 in another close game. Major Fours. Chris Moy, Peter Ahoy, Richard Kembrey, Mal Ahoy defeated, Maddy Woodward, Laurie Judd, Lee Robinson, Sammi Robinson 25-9.

Sunday 1 June – 9.30am start. Minor Singles. Chris Moy plays Paul Wadleigh, marker Terry Ogilvie.

Sunday 15 June – 9.30am start. Minor Pairs. Col Holden, Adrian Whitton play Jason Prince, Scott Froome. (This game must be played on or before this date).

The Open Triples – Major Minor carnival will be held on Saturday 14 June. Total Prizemoney is $2700. Entry Fee is $90 per team which includes a light BBQ Lunch. Please see Rosie Fuller for more information. Not a lot of entries from our bowlers for this carnival, which is very disappointing.

Bowls Presentation Day – Sunday 13 July commencing at 1pm in the Auditorium.

Reg Battersby and Ken House are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Information is also available on the Club’s website and Facebook page.
