Weekly Bowls Notice 25 September, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 14 players. Winners were John Lankester, Elfie Brunner, Marj South.

Runners up were Helen Alexander, Maxine Giles, John Waters. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

As it is a long weekend this coming weekend, there will be no Social Bowls on Monday 2 October.

Results of games played over the weekend. Open Singles. Tom Inman defeated Paul Clarke 27-5.

Minor Pairs. Michael Coombes, Paul Wadleigh defeated Brian Charter, Chris Moy 22-12.

Games set down for Sunday 8 October, 1pm start. Major Triples. Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller play Laurie Williams, Chris Moy, Ross Strahle.

The Armidale City Bowling Club held its AGM over the weekend. Selectors for 2023/2024 are Richard Kembrey, Torsten Vestergaard and Andrew Carey.



Bowls Committee for 2023/2024 are Walter Sauer, Louise Bates, Gavin Latham, Terry Ogilvie and Rosie Fuller.

The Club will be running a Twilight Bowls competition on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Twilight will start on Thursday 12 October. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. There will be Winner and Runner up prizes.

If you are interested in the Club’s Mixed Pairs, please put your name down on the Nomination Sheet posted on the Noticeboard.

 Nominations close Monday 30 October, 2023. Entry forms are now available for the Major Minor Open Triples Carnival to be held on Sunday 26 November. The Armidale City Bowling Club will be hosting “Get on the Green Days”. Sunday 22 October at 10am and Sunday 29 October at 1.30pm. All equipment is provided, $2.50 social membership is required, Flat Sole shoes to be worn. Come on down and try a game of bowls.
