Weekly Bowls Notice 24 November – 2025

Social bowls Wednesday 19 November we had 9 players. Winners were John Waters, Reg Battersby. Runners up were Di Richter, John Lankester, Paul Clarke. Social bowls Monday 24 November we had 9 players. Winners were Judy Hoenger, Paul Clarke. Runners up were John Lankester, Dean Lankester. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend: Open Singles. Andrew Carey defeated Torsten Vestergaard 25-7. Major Singles. Laurie Judd defeated Paul Clarke 25-18. Major Pairs. Peter Ahoy, Laurie Judd defeated Mick Pennell, Paul Bullen 16-14. Major Triples. Andrew Carey, Graham Bourke, Mick Pennell defeated Maddy Woodward, Duncan McLean, Paul Bullen 24-14. Minor Pairs. Helen Alexander, Marj South defeated Reg Battersby, Gary Jackson 22-7. Minor Triples. Des Schuman, John Waters, Ross Strahle defeated Terry Ogilvie (sub), Jason Prince 26-14. Minor Singles. Rosie Fuller defeated Graeme Heffernan 25-15. It was great to see Graeme having a bowl on Saturday. It was his first club competition game and he put a few good bowls down. Lee Robinson defeated Sammi Robinson 25-14. Marj South defeated Cahill McIntyre 25-20.

Congratulations  to the following bowlers who have been selected to trial for the North-West Inter Region sides to be held in Moree over the weekend of 6 and 7 December. Open Men’s – Todd Fuller. Senior Men’s – Peter Doyle, Steve Fuller and Gavin Latham. Open Women’s – Rosie Fuller.

Major Pairs. Col Holden, Clifford Smith play Paul Clarke, Paul Wadleigh. Minor Singles. Bruce Wadleigh plays Victor Ng, marker Cahill McIntyre.

Steve Fuller and Rosie Fuller are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

A Noticeboard  has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
