Weekly Bowls Notice 15 September – 2025

Social bowls Monday 15 September we had 12 players. Winners were Carol Farr-Wharton, Des Schuman. Runners up were Michelle Babich, Elfie Brunner. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Congratulations to Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller for winning their BPL Cup Regional Final in Tamworth on Sunday. They are now off to State Finals to be held at Club Mount Lewis on 28 September.

Saturday 20 September – 9.30am start.  Major-Minor Boxed Pairs. Col Holden, Clifford Smith play Rosie Fuller, Pam McFayden. John Waters, Mick Pennell play Adrian Whitton, Steve Fuller. Di Richter, Victor Ng play Torsten Vestergaard, Richard Kembrey. Marj South, Laurie Judd play Helen Alexander, Graham Bourke.

Sunday 21 September – 9.30am start. Major Singles.  Peter Ahoy plays Duncan McLean, marker Mick Pennell. Minor Singles.  Claude McFayden plays Elsie Clarke, marker Des Schuman. Adrian Whitton plays John Waters, marker Col Holden. Reg Battersby plays Gary Jackson, marker Marj South.

The annual Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs is coming up on 11 and 12 October. Total Prize money is $8000. Entries for the first 32 teams, reserve teams will go on reserve list. 
 

Expressions of Interest  are now open for the North West Inter-Region Sides Selection Trials in Open Women’s, Open Men’s & Senior Men’s. Closing date is Monday 3 November 2025. More information is posted next to this notice.

Paul Clarke and Des Schuman are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Due to renovations, we no longer have a Bowls information area. Weekly Bowls Notice and Draw(s) will be placed on the temporary wall close to the Bar. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this folder regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark.
