Weekly Bowls Notice 10 November – 2025

Social bowls Wednesday 5 November we had 15 players. Winners were Laurie Judd, Des Schuman, Campbell Schubert. Runners up were John Waters, Marie Knight, Joe Lankester. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend: Open Singles - Steve Fuller defeated Clifford Smith 25-9. Major Singles - Richard Kembrey defeated Mick Pennell 25-23. Minor Fours - Carol Farr-Wharton, Helen Alexander, Marj South, and Rosie Fuller defeated Reg Battersby, Des Schuman, Gary Jackson and John Waters 31-8.

Saturday 15 November – 9.30am start

Sunday 16 November – 9.30am start

Minor Singles. Cahill McIntyre plays Marj South, marker Helen Alexander. Sammi Robinson plays Lee Robinson, marker Richard Kembrey. Open Singles. Andrew Carey plays Torsten Vestergaard, marker Chris Moy. 

Dale Smith and Lindsay McIntyre are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

We have some travelling bowlers visiting from Cardiff from 14 – 16 November. They are looking forward to visiting our Club and playing some bowls. Bowls will be Saturday afternoon around 1pm and Sunday morning around 9.30am.  25 -28 men will be visiting. Please place your name on the list, if you would like to compete with these bowlers.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be. All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
