Weekly Bowls Notice 10 July, 2023

Monday Social Bowls we had 14 players. Winners were John Lankester, Fred Swanson, Des Schuman. Runners up were Torsten Vestergaard, Gavin Latham. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Results from the weekend’s games. Major Fours, Steve Fuller’s team defeated Brodie Dexter’s team 25-9, declared at 19 ends. Minor Pairs. Claude McFayden, Victor Ng defeated Jan Swanson, Fred Swanson 26-23. What a fantastic game to watch. This game was 23 all on the last end, with Victor’s team picking up 3 shots on the extra end. Games set down for this coming weekend. Sunday 16th July, 10am start. Major Triples. Paul Clarke, Malcolm Turner, Peter Doyle play Cahill McIntyre, Dale Smith, Lindsay McIntyre. Good luck to all teams participating in the Zone 3 State Championships – Men’s State Triples and Reserve Triples. The Armidale City Bowling Club now has a National Ranking of Tier 4 with Bowls Australia. All bowlers who haven’t paid their fees yet, must do so before you can play your next event. A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Mal Potts on the day of play.
