Weekly Bowls Notice 9 September, 2024

Social Bowls on Wednesday we had 13 bowlers. Winners were Reg Nielson, Garry Jackson. Runners up were Ian McLennan, Joe Lankester. Social Bowls played today we had 12 bowlers. Winners were Des Schuman, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were Geoff Monley, Joe Lankester.

Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results of the Versatility Fours carnival played over the weekend. 1^st place. P Robinson, K Cundy, L Robinson, M Fletcher, 4 wins + 78. 2^nd place. R Fuller, S Robinson, S Fuller, T Fuller, 3 wins + 71. 3^rd place. A Whitton, C Moy, R Kembrey, P Doyle, 3 wins + 68. 4^th place. D Stokes, S Hutton, P Hutton, S Anderson (from Glen Innes), 3 wins + 65. Special Prize Draw goes to the teams of H Alexander, C McFayden, P McFayden, M South. B Thomas, E Pringle, J Waters, R Rees (from Glen Innes).

 No games have been set down for this coming weekend due to bowlers involved in BPL Cup games in Tamworth. All Bowls draws for the 2024-2025 season are now posted up on the Noticeboard and beside the Noticeboard. Draws are available in Bowlslink. Club games will be starting the weekend of 28 – 29 September.

 If you have the bye in Round 1 you will be required to mark a game. Entry forms for the Richie Clutterbuck Memorial Open Pairs Carnival to be held 12 and 13 October, are now available. Entries close 6 October and is limited to the first 32 entries. Entry forms for this carnival is on the noticeboard inside the Bowls cupboard or at reception.  A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play. There are quite a few bowlers who haven’t paid their money yet, please do so as soon as possible.
