Weekly Bowls Notice 9 February – 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 4 February we had 13 players. Winners were Mal Turner, Ken House. Runners up were Michelle Babich, Victor Ng. Social bowls Monday 9 February were cancelled, due to the wet weather. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Mixed Pairs Semi-Final. Lindsay McIntyre (sub), Maddy Woodward defeated Marj South, Steve Fuller 19-15. Rosie Fuller, Tom Inman defeated Matt Fletcher, Sammi Robinson 18-10. Minor Fours. Reconstituted team of Terry Ogilvie, Bruce Wadleigh, Claude McFayden, Col Holden defeated Elsie Clarke, Torsten Vestergaard, Ken House, Laurie Williams 22-14. Open Singles. Mal Ahoy forfeited against Adrian Whitton. Laurie Judd defeated Chris Moy 25-18. Matt Fletcher defeated Gavin Latham. 25-19.

Round 1 Pennants. Grade 2 plays Inverell/RSM. Grade 5 plays Glen Innes. Grade 7 has the bye.

Grade 7, we are looking for volunteers to run the BBQ on Saturday afternoon, cooking from 3.30pm, please see Rosie Fuller regarding this.

Sunday 15 February – 9.30am start

Major/Minor Boxed Pairs. John Waters, Mick Pennell play Adrian Whitton, Steve Fuller. Minor Singles. Gary Jackson plays Lee Robinson, marker Helen Alexander.

Gavin Latham and Lindsay McIntyre are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle. 

Champion of Champion Singles entries close at midnight on Wednesday 11 February. Entries through Bowlslink.

We are looking for a manager for Grade 2 and Grade 5, if you would like to help, please contact Rosie Fuller at the Club.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Pennant Teams: A list of updated pennant teams for round 1 will be placed on the noticeboard very shortly.
