Weekly Bowls Notice 30 March – 2026

Social bowls were held on Wednesday 25th March, with 13 players participating. Winners were Mal Turner and Marj South. Runners up were Campbell Schubert and Geoff Monley. Social bowls held on Monday 30th March with 12 players participating. Winners were Judy Hoenger and Geoff Monley. Runners up were John Lankester and Paul Clarke. Social Bowls are played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start. Please phone the club on 6772 5666 to reserve a spot! Social Bowls will be played on Easter Monday (6/4/26), names in by 12.30pm.

Results from games played over the weekend.

Open Singles: Steve Fuller defeated Graham Bourke 25-17. Major Pairs: Cahill McIntyre and Lindsay McIntyre defeated Andrew Carey and Mark Carey 23-9. Bradley Dade and Matthew Fletcher defeated Peter Ahoy and Laurie Judd 17-10.  Tom Inman and Todd Fuller defeated Richard Kembrey and Duncan McLean 26-8.  Unfortunately, the Minor Triples game set down to be played between Helen Alexander, Rosie Fuller and Marj South vs Elsie Clarke, Ken House and Laurie Williams was forfeited.  Congratulations to our Grade 7 Pennants team defeating Uralla 10-0.  They now qualify for the regional playoffs. 

Terry Ogilvie is rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle.

Armidale City Bowling Club will be hosting Sectional Play for Division 3 Men’s Pennants on 2nd and 3rd of May 2026.  Teams playing here are from Inverell RSM, Glen Innes, Uralla x 2, Kootingal and South Tamworth.  I am needing umpires for these 2 days.  Please come and see Rosie if you are willing to help.  If we get enough to help, it is possible to umpire 1 part of the day instead of a full day. 

Bowls NSW has released the season calendar from July 2026 – December 2026 whilst we transition back to a normal bowls calendar year.  This calendar is posted on the noticeboard. 

Major Minor Triples Carnival to be held on Saturday 11th April 2026.  Limited entries have been received; more entries are required for this carnival to go ahead.  Entries close Thursday 9th April 2026. 

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board.  Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark.  Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
