Weekly Bowls Notice 23 February – 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 18 February we had 12 players. Winners were John Waters, Pam McFayden, Reg Battersby. Runners up were Laurie Judd, Ken House, Claude McFayden. Social bowls Monday 23 February we had 12 players. Winners were Di Richter, Peter McFarland. Runner up was Paul Clarke x 2. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend.

Pennants: Grade 2 defeated North Tamworth 10-0. Grade 5 lost to Guyra 9-1 and Grade 7 defeated Bendemeer 9.5–0.5. Major-Minor Boxed Pairs. Helen Alexander, Graham Bourke defeated Marj South, Laurie Judd 18-15. Open Singles. Pam McFayden defeated Reg Battersby 13-2 declared after 7 ends played.

Round 2 Pennants played at Armidale City. Grade 5 plays Uralla. Grade 7 plays Uralla. 

Sunday 1 March – 9.30am start

Major-Minor Boxed Fours. Torsten Vestergaard, Marj South, Pam McFayden, Peter Robinson play Brian Charter, Sammi Robinson, Gavin Latham, Tom Inman. Open Singles. Paul Bullen plays Richard Kembrey, marker Matt Fletcher. Andrew Carey plays Victor Ng, marker Terry Ogilvie.

Malcolm Turner and Laurie Judd are rostered on for Friday night’s 100 Club raffle. 

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.   All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
