Weekly Bowls Notices 13th April 2026

Social bowls were held on Wednesday 8/4/2026 with 16 players. Winners were Judy Hoenger, Di Richter and Mal Turner. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Reg Battersby and Laurie Williams. Social bowls were held on Monday 13th April with 14 players. Winners were Ken House, John Waters. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Nick Hall and Di Ritcher. Social Bowls are played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.30pm start. Please phone the club on 6772 5666 to reserve a spot!

Major pairs: Tom Inman and Todd Fuller defeated Graham Bourke and Gavin Latham 17-15. Brad Dade and Matthew Fletcher defeated Cahill McIntyre and Lindsay McIntyre 18-17.

The Final of the Major Pairs will be held on Sunday 19th April, with Brad Dade and Matthew Fletcher to play Tom Inman and Todd Fuller – Good luck to both teams.

Armidale City Bowling Club will be hosting Sectional Play for Division 3 Men’s Pennants on 2nd and 3rd of May 2026. Teams playing here are from Inverell RSM, Glen Innes, Uralla x 2, Kootingal and South Tamworth. I am needing umpires for these 2 days. Please come and see Rosie if you are willing to help. If we get enough to help, it is possible to umpire 1 part of the day instead of a full day.

Bowls NSW has released the season calendar from July 2026 – December 2026 whilst we transition back to a normal bowls calendar year. This calendar is posted on the noticeboard.

The Open Triples Major Minor Carnival was held on Saturday 11th April, with 12 teams participating, the result are as follows:

1st – G.Bourke,D.McLean,C.Holden 3 wins (+57)

2nd – T.Inman,J.Prince,S.Fuller 3 wins (+47)

3rd – M.Fletcher,B.Dade,M.Slavin 3 wins (+46)

4th – L.Judd,M.Turner,J Waters 2 wins (+39)

5th -P.Bullen,M.Pennell,T.Ogilvie 2 wins (+38)

6th – V.Ng,K.House,D.Richter 2 wins (+37)

Round winners: P.Robinson team, L.Williams team and C.Kliendienst team.

Also, a big thank you to the volunteers who helped with the carnival. Without your assistance, these carnivals would not be able to be held.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard.
