Weekly Bowls Notice 12 october 2026

Social bowls Wednesday 7 October we had 14 players. Winners were Joe Lankester, John Waters, Gavin Latham. Runners up were Reg Battersby, John Kelly, Geoff Monley. Social bowls Monday 12 October we had 14 players. Winners were Gavin Latham, Carol Farr-Wharton. Runners up were Des Schuman, John Waters. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Results from games played over the weekend.

Major Singles. Several excellent Major Singles matches were played over the weekend. Brad Dade defeated Steve Fuller 25–19, Tom Inman defeated Laurie Judd 25–22, and Duncan McLean defeated Rosie Fuller 25–21.

In the semi-finals, Todd Fuller defeated Brad Dade 25–4, while Tom Inman defeated Duncan McLean 25–4. Congratulations to Todd and Tom, who will now meet in the Major Singles final.

Best of luck to the following bowlers who are heading to Moree this coming weekend for the Inter-Zone trials. Women’s – Rosie Fuller. Senior Men’s – Peter Doyle, Steve Fuller and Gavin Latham. Open Men’s – Todd Fuller and Lindsay McIntyre.

Upcoming carnivals:

Richie Clutterbuck Memorial 3 Bowl Open Pairs on 7 and 8 November, 2026. Nominations are available at Reception or can be downloaded from the ACBC website. Nominations are filling up quickly and limited to 32 teams.

Unfortunately, due to lack of nominations, the Minor Pairs Round Robin competition will not be going ahead.

A Noticeboard has been put up on the wall where the Juke Box used to be (heading towards the back green). All Bowls Draws and information will be placed on this board. Please ensure you come into the Club and check this noticeboard regularly to see when you are set down to play/mark. Game Cards can be collected from this noticeboard. All Bowls draws and information will also be kept in a folder at Reception.  Information is also available on the Club’s website, Facebook page or by phoning the club on 6772 5666.
